Aviator Inspired Sunglasses

Aviator inspired sunglasses take the basic form of an aviator, with its large, gently curved lenses and strong lines, and alter it slightly to create a new, modern style. Some aviator inspired sunglasses follow the traditional form more closely than others, using similar lens shapes and thin, metal frames (for example, the Carrera Gipsy). Others subvert it a little more, changing frame shapes or using plastic rather than metal frames. However they choose to execute it, aviator inspired sunglasses bring the spirit of the original aviators (developed in the 1930s for fighter pilots) into the modern day.

Aviators

Aviators are one of those styles that just never goes away and never goes out of fashion. Like a good pair of jeans, they should be a staple item in everyone's wardrobe, male or female. Aviators might have been developed for pilots, but these days they are just great fashion accessories. There is barely a celebrity in existence who hasn't been snapped wearing a pair at some point. The classics are, of course, Ray-Bans, but there are plenty of other options for those who love aviators. Most big name brands, such as Prada and Armani, have given us their own take on the aviator.
