The Ray-Ban Angels

LET'S STICK WITH TRADITIONAL

Since 1952, the Ray-Ban Wayfarer has dipped in and out of popularity, but the Wayfarer has been extremely in-demand thanks to today's celebrity pulling power. During the Royal tour to New Zealand, Kate Middleton was spotted wearing the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer. The Duchess of Cambridge can sell any fashionable garment in a matter of minutes- no wonder why every brand wants to work with her. Lucky for Ray-Ban, her Wayfarer smile has cast a magical purchasing spell.

The original Wayfarer was geared towards the male audience, but women adored these 'masculine' looking shades too. Although the traditional Wayfarer can be worn with any outfit, Ray-Ban has regenerated the style with many quirky and creative patterns and textures, including the Urban Camo, Ice Pop and Surf Up.

Blaze customers have always been very keen to get their hands on a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses. As soon as they fly into our stockroom, they are gone again. So make sure you buy your Ray-Bans as soon as you can!

        LET'S DO BUSINESS

The craze of Browline glasses in the 1950s and 1960s dominated every youngster's wardrobe. The 'Browline' description derives from the fact that the bold upper line frames the lens in the same way that the eyebrows frame our eyes. Inspired by the growing popularity, Ray-Ban created their own unique and iconic shape, the Clubmaster. Creating this retro coolness, Hollywood catapulted the Clubmaster to fame as famous faces such as Matt Damon, Michael Douglas and Denzel Washington were all spotted wearing these slick business shades in their films.

The Clubmasters are also very popular amongst female fashion, seen on American actress, Elle Fanning. Mixing the masculine businessmen look with a causal and elegant twist, these Clubmasters can really stand the test of time.

Wearing sunglasses is all about making a statement, and protecting your vision of course, but these Clubmasters aim to flashback to the 1950s' pastime and create a huge retro flavour within today's fashion lookbooks.

              LET'S BE COOL

Flick back to the Eighties fashion and admire all things neon. Ray-Ban's mirrored lens are currently on trend this summer. Glee star, Dianna Agron, was spotted wearing mirrored Ray-Ban sunglasses with a beautiful relaxed summer dress. Guaranteed to liven up any summer outfit with an awesome piece of nostalgia, the mirrored lens is best suited with the aviator frame.

However, other frames want to be part of this cool and urban fashion scene, the mirrored lens can also been seen in the Wayfarers and Clubmasters. Replacing the plain crystal green lens with funky brightly coloured mirrors, these sunglasses will get you noticed.

The mirror coating application on these lens is achieved through an advanced technological process, where superheated metal oxides are fused to the lens at molecular level to ensure a uniform layer. The mirror coating helps to reduce glare and give you that loud, big and bright look.
